Wonderful !!
Thank you
I was really scratching my head about the “W” series … no nations that start with W! (Well, at least not in English.) So, how to narrow down the possibilities … islands? towns? parks? These two make a good comparison though … total opposites! (Plus I have Polish ancestry … had to get Poland in there somehow.)
You’re killing me with all these pictures and poems. Now I’m sucked in by the tall green trees and the lonely path. I want to go. Now.
Really? I thought everyone would be flocking to Wiencke Island! (hahahah!) Seriously though — I do have Polish ancestry so Poland had to come in to play *somehow*.
The picture was awesome …. you could almost smell the woods. Ah! Very not-Peeay-in-February!
In truth, I was tantalized by the frozen reflection as well. But, I like to spend my winter mountain time at Mammoth, so it’s harder to get me interested in going to other places. And those tall trees remind me very much of my other love – the giant sequioas in Kings Canyon where I go camping every summer.
Some day I really want to see sequoias. [sigh.] Well, maybe next year!
I’m off to do some reading … Frodo Baggins is calling me and it’s almost 1 AM here … better get moving or they’ll never escape from Bree!
Thank you so much for all of the encouragement!
I love your interpretations for ‘W’. And I can’t believe your reading LOTR as well!
Yep, plowing along in LOTR!
Parts are enjoyable … but I sort of “skim” through the songs because I find them a bit tedious. (Sorry Tolkein-philes … my bad!)
Thanks for the encouragement! W was tough …. which places to choose?
Beautiful… and a great thought.
